ANALYSIS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER PROCESSES UNDER FIRES

APPLICATION OF MODERN CALCULATION TECHNOLOGIES FOR ANALYSIS AND PREDICTION OF THERMOGAZODYNAMIC STATE OF KP “KYIV METROPOLITEN” TUNNELS

Problem. There is a need to observe the normalized humidity of the tunnel air, since the high relative humidity value reduces the mechanical strength of the tunnel walls and accelerates the processes of corrosion of the electricity supply system expensive equipment (Fig. 1), and can lead to a short circuit in the tunnels electrical equipment.

Solution. On the basis of the experimental-calculation method, with the help of the created computer non-stationary three-dimensional model of the tunnels, ways of providing the normative level relative humidity of the air of the Kyiv metro tunnels are analyzed. With the help of developed 3D CFD models, the analysis and prediction of the work of ventilation equipment was carried out in order to ensure a normalized level of tunnel air relative humidity (Fig. 2) over the following years.

The developed computer models allow to calculate and choose the optimal schedule of ventilation system to provide the normalized level of humidity in tunnels and at subway stations.
