ANALYSIS OF HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER PROCESSES IN ENERGY OBJECTS

THERMAL, GAS-DYNAMIC AND HUMIDITY STATE AND THE DISTRIBUTION OF RADIOACTIVE AEROSOLS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE NEW SAFE CONFINEMENT MODELING

Consider models of the New Safe Confinement (NSC) standing above Chernobyl nuclear power plant “Shelter” object (OS).

The necessity of analysis and prediction thermal, gas-dynamic and humidity state in the OS and the NSC, which define the 100-year the NSC resource. To execute analysis and prediction processes developed three-dimensional computer CFD-model, which allowed to obtain temperature fields, velocity and humidity to test the performance of the ventilation system during the NSC possible climatic conditions and the failure of ventilation equipment.

The model also made it possible the analysis of the spread of radioactive aerosols (PA) within the NSC and outside it

With the help of the developed model calculations performed the NSC to spread radioactive aerosols and obtaining RA distribution in the NSC main volume (Fig. Left) and after a heavy object falling on the technological platform (Fig. Right).
