Main directions of activity of the TBET department

Directions of scientific and organizational activity of the department:

  • development of conceptual bases of the project of the National heat supply strategy of inhabited localities of Ukraine;
  • development of scientific-technical and state target programs for the modernization of communal (municipal) heat power engineering in Ukraine;
  • development of regional programs for the modernization of communal (municipal) heat power engineering;
  • development of bases of energy efficiency of buildings, bases of passive construction and construction of buildings of «0-energy» type.

Directions of scientific and scientific-technical activity of the department:

  • research of hydrodynamics and heat and mass transfer in technological heterogeneous systems and pulsating streams;
  • study of instability and hydrodynamics of single- and two-phase flows of processes of discrete-pulsed input of energy;
  • study of adiabatic-boiling fluxes and their practical application;
  • research of thermohydrodynamic instability in elements of heat and power equipment;
  • solving conjugate problems of nonstationary thermal conductivity in the absence of restrictions on the nature of changes in external conditions;
  • studying and using cogeneration technologies in decentralized energy, geothermal energy and bioenergy;
  • thermophysical modeling of processes of hydrodynamics, heat transfer and filtration of heat carrier in geothermal energy;
  • study of hydrodynamics, heat transfer and crushing effects in rotating pulsating streams; development of efficient equipment for processing heterogeneous environments in technological processes;
  • study of the problem of soil accumulation of thermal energy;
  • research of systems of efficient distribution and regulation of heat-carrier in buildings, elaboration of methods of refined calculation of heat supply systems;
  • research and development of methods for measuring and calculating heat losses through light-transparent and fencing building structures;
  • thermophysical modeling of aerodynamics and heat exchange of buildings;
  • research on solar insolation;
  • creation and research of low- and medium-temperature heat supply systems based on heat pump technology;
  • research of new insulating materials and methods of thermo-modernization of buildings;
  • development of the scientific basis of a highly efficient and passive building, as well as buildings of the «0-energy» type.
