The journal “Thermophysics and Thermal Power Engineering” has been published continuously for 42 years (the first issue was published in 1979). Until 2019, the journal was called “Industrial Heating”.

The journal is included in the “List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine” within the cluster “Safe, Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency” in the specialty G4 “Energy Production” (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 11.06.2026 No. 928). The journal is indexed in scientometric databases and catalogs: Google Scholar, Index Copernicus (since 2020), V.I. Vernadsky National Library.

The journal is also included in the Targeted Comprehensive Program of the NAS of Ukraine “Transformation of the Scientific and Publishing Complex of the NAS of Ukraine in Conditions of War and Post-War Changes in the Context of the Implementation of European Open Science Initiatives.”

The journal is presented in abstract and scientometric databases since 2020: WorldCat, ResearchBib, EBSCO, IndexCopernicus.

The journal is abstracted in the abstract database “Ukrainika naukova” (abstract journal “Dzherelo”), all issues of the journal since 2010 are presented in the V.I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.

The journal is part of the “Support Program for Journals of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” of the Targeted Comprehensive Program “Creation and Development of the Scientific and Production Complex of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine”.

 In 2009, the Google Corporation digitized all issues of the journal, starting with the first issue, which was published in 1979 (about 200 issues), with subsequent posting of articles in free access on the Google-Scholar website

In the 2000s, the journal was republished in the English-language version in the USA by the Beggel House Inc. corporation. (New York, Madison Avenue, 145) and distributed in the USA under the name “Industrial Heat Engineering”

Articles from the last decade are available on a separate journal website www.ihe.nas.gov.ua, already with international digital identifiers DOI, which significantly facilitates access and improves their visibility in the global scientific space.
