OPTIMUM THERMAL MANAGEMENT IN RESIDENTIAL AND OFFICE BUILDINGS FOR MAXIMUM ENERGY SAVINGS

Optimal management of the thermal regime of the building in order to obtain maximum energy savings for heating (for example, during periods of absence of people) can be carried out using an individual heating point (IHP), and for rooms – using programmers / thermostats, in which the on and off points are manually set heating systems. The problem is that it is impossible to predict the optimal moment for turning on the heating system every day, because it depends on the current ambient temperature, the power reserve of the heating system, the current thermal state of the building and its thermal inertia.

Suggestion for solving the problem. The development and use of adequate models of the thermal regime of buildings and premises allows for optimal management of the thermal regime of the building to obtain maximum energy savings in residential and office buildings. Improving the energy efficiency of buildings is achieved by developing an optimal algorithm for controlling the operation of the heating system of a building based on measuring the ambient temperature, air temperature in the necessary rooms, using the thermal model of this building, which can be self-tuning and allows you to determine the individual moment of turning on the heating system while providing comfortable conditions during periods the presence of people in the building and save thermal energy as much as possible.

The developed algorithm has been tested on an office building with low energy efficiency (Fig. 1), which makes it possible to achieve energy savings on its heating up to (4 … 5) %, while maintaining the normalized temperature in the room during working hours (Fig. 2).

The developed algorithm can be implemented as a program for a computerized building heating control system or used in advanced programmers.
